Own a Share of Seattle’s Built History
Commissioned by early 20th-century furniture merchant John W. Swigart and built by Eric Almquist, the house mixes prevailing plan-book features with stylistic innovation. Almquist constructed numerous University Park residences and in 1937 raised the storefront for Swigart’s Furniture Company, now Scarecrow Video, at 5030 Roosevelt.
